# Affiliate Marketplace status

> Understand what the affiliate experience is designed to protect before you promote an offer.

## Release state

Affiliate Marketplace is intentionally marked coming soon. It must remain gated until certification passes for attribution, verified payment, ledger posting, payout eligibility, refunds, chargebacks, and operational controls.

  **Do not treat coming soon as available**

  A creator or affiliate should not promise live marketplace discovery, commission balances, or payout timing until the platform marks the capability certified and released.

## What the certified experience is intended to support

* **Offer discovery:** Affiliates find creator-approved offers with the terms and promotion rules they need.
* **Attribution:** The backend records the eligible referral context; the browser does not decide who gets credit.
* **Commission:** A commission is created exactly once from a verified, commissionable payment.
* **Payout:** Funds become payable only after eligibility, policy, and provider checks succeed.

## Non-negotiable rules

* The canonical finance ledger is the only monetary source of truth.
* Verified payments create commission exactly once, even when provider notifications are retried.
* Refunds and chargebacks reverse commission exactly once.
* Self-referrals are not commissionable.
* Creator, affiliate, admin, and customer responsibilities remain separate.
